About Our Family

We are a Christian family of four who live, love, laugh, homeschool and play in southeastern New York (not to be confused with the Southern Tier).

Jenny and Roger have been married for 28 wonderful years and have two children:  Craig, who is 16, and Dawn, who is 14.  We have been on an interesting homeschool journey for 7 years now and love every minute!

Our Mission...

…to provide quality handmade clothing for those who may not otherwise be able to pay the high prices for designer clothing.  Designer name clothing is out of reach for a lot of people and the alternative, ready to wear, seems to fall apart in the first few washings.  After having two children and seeing how much clothing costs are and how much they keep increasing all the time, we decided that we wanted to do something about it.  We felt the call to "clothe the naked" as it mentions in Isaiah 58.

Jenny began sewing as a business about 11 years ago at the suggestion of a friend.  We started small, by word of mouth, and made clothing to specific order.  Then came the craft fairs and we even had our own version of a "fashion show" home party.  Thus Cutie Pie Fashions was born, the image in the logo, being our own "cutie pie".

Then we began homeschooling in 2001 and the sewing room was turned into a classroom!  Sewing took too much time away from this new calling, but the dream and the original calling never faded.  Everything has a season and now our children are older and I have turned to knitting and crochet.  These things I can do while still spending the time with my family that is necessary.

We make clothing to sell, but we rarely take any profits from it. The money we make goes to buy more supplies and then to ministry to the poor, hungry and homeless.  Our prices are as low as we can make them and still be able to give to the people who are in need.

We have given clothing to organizations who are better able to provide for the needs of the people they serve. however, when the need arises in our own community,  we love to give things away!
We hope that this can inspire someone who has a talent, but no outlet for it.  Please see below for a list of organizations that seek donations of handmade things.

Charity Organizations

Here are some organizations that accept donations of sweaters and other clothing for different sized children.  A lot of them offer free patterns for you to use, but also take anything that you make yourself.

    • "The denim capri pants you made for my daughter are great!! I love the denim you used...the material is not too heavy for the summer, but thick enough to last. They fit perfect..."
